My name is Md Billal Hossain, and I am a successful freelance graphic designer and the founder of Bear My Brand digital service agency. On February 1st, 2023, I was awarded the top freelancer earner in Dhaka Lot-15, batch-873 (under the LEDP program), a recognition given by the honourable Prime Minister of our country, Sheikh Hasina. I am grateful for this award and thank ICT minister- Zunaid Ahmed Palak for his support.

Before I started my journey as a freelance graphic designer, I was just a regular person with a passion for design. I belong to a low-income family, and my parents don’t understand freelancing. I was under too much family pressure to take on my family’s responsibilities. I was frustrated and looking for any job where I could get at least a monthly 15 thousand Bangladeshi Taka. In 2020, I took advantage of a government-funded program called LEDP and enrolled in a 200-hour course on graphic design. This course was a turning point in my life and opened up a new world of opportunities.

I worked hard and tried to learn in every possible way (like youtube, google). On average, I spent 14-18 hours a day learning. After completing the course, I started freelancing on various online marketplaces and earned a decent income. I was amazed by the possibilities of working from the comfort of my home and the flexibility it provided me. With my newfound skills and hard work, I earned over 20,000 USD from online and outside marketplaces.

I work remotely for a USA company; also, through Fiverr and Upwork, I provide high-quality graphic design services to clients worldwide. With my success, I established Bear My Brand. This digital service agency employs 8 to 10 people, including web developers, graphic designers, social media experts, and SEO specialists, all working together to provide quality digital services to respectable clients/business owners.

My journey as a freelance graphic designer has not been easy, but it has been gratifying. I have learned the value of hard work, persistence, and continuously learning and improving my skills. I hope my story can inspire others looking to start their freelance journey or pursue their passions.
